These terms govern your use of amakshi.com and any order you place with us. Amakshi is operated by Indesign Industries Private Limited, F206, Sitapura Industrial Area, Jaipur 302022, Rajasthan, India. By placing an order you agree to these terms.

Everything is made to order

This is the most important thing to understand about buying from us. We do not hold stock. Nothing is cut or stitched until you place an order. When you order, your fabric is printed, your pattern is laid, and your size is cut specifically for you at our factory in Jaipur.

This has two consequences: it takes longer than buying from a warehouse, and there are limits on cancellation once we have started making your piece.

Prices and tax

All prices are shown in Indian Rupees and are inclusive of GST. The price you see is the price you pay — no tax is added at checkout.

We may change prices at any time, but a change will never affect an order you have already placed.

Placing an order

Your order is an offer to buy. We confirm it by email, and we will also message you on WhatsApp (+91 84400 33377) within a day to confirm your size and address before we begin. We may decline an order — for example if we cannot deliver to your location or if there is an obvious pricing error — and if we do, we will refund you in full.

Payment

We accept UPI, cards, net banking and other methods offered at checkout, as well as Cash on Delivery within India. For COD orders, please keep the exact order amount ready for the delivery agent.

Making and delivery

Allow 7–10 days for your piece to be printed, cut and stitched. Once dispatched, delivery within India typically takes 2–4 days, a little longer to smaller towns. Timelines exclude Sundays and public holidays.

Because pieces are made by hand, the occasional order takes longer. If yours does, we will tell you rather than leave you wondering.

Shipping within India is free. International delivery is ₹5,000 flat, anywhere in the world. For international orders, duties and taxes are payable by you on delivery and are set by your country, not by us.

Cancellation

You may cancel before we begin production — in practice, before or during the WhatsApp confirmation. Once we have cut cloth for your order, we cannot cancel it, because the piece has been made specifically for you.

To cancel, message us on WhatsApp or email info@amakshi.com as soon as possible.

Exchanges

If the size is wrong, we will exchange it. Free size exchange within seven days of delivery — we collect from your door and send the right size, anywhere in India.

To request an exchange, contact us within seven days of delivery. The piece must be unworn, unwashed and in its original condition with tags intact.

Made-to-measure orders (garments stitched to your own measurements for the additional charge) cannot be exchanged or returned, because they are cut to measurements you supply and cannot be resold.

If a piece arrives damaged, defective, or is not what you ordered, contact us within seven days with photographs and we will replace it or refund you.

Colour and variation

Every print is drawn, dyed and printed by us. Slight variation in colour and print placement between pieces — and between the photograph and the garment — is a characteristic of how these are made, not a defect. Screens also render colour differently.

Product images

Product photographs show the actual garment. We do not use AI-generated imagery to represent our products.

Intellectual property

All prints, designs, photographs, text and other content on this site are owned by Indesign Industries Private Limited. Our prints are drawn in-house. You may not reproduce, copy or use them commercially without our written permission.

Our liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Indian law. Subject to that, our liability in connection with any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Jaipur, Rajasthan.
